New additions to our home!

Well, another succesful weekend of bargain shopping completed! I am excited to share all the items I bought for our home!!

I purchased this chair with my earnings from our rummage sale (plus some of my saved $$) at Slumberland. We had a coupon for 25% any item for just moving into town. This saved me some big money!! I think it fits in perfectly! The pillow was just bought this weekend - 50% off at JcPenney's! Deal!

I also added the vase with the "sticks" in our living room. The vase was 50% at Hobby Lobby! Another great deal!

This picture was also purchased from Hobby Lobby - which I used a 40% off coupon printed from their website! The quote ("Love as Long as You Live") is one I used at our wedding during my toast, so it has some sentimental value as well. This shelf is in our family room - downstairs.

I found this plate rack at Goodwill for $3.50. I then searched all over town for plates and ended up buying Fiesta dishes from Macy's. They too were on sale - 30% off. I have always dreamed of collecting Fiesta dishes - so this will start it up! There are so many cute dishes - will need to save up money for more!! Or - potential Christmas gifts (hint hint)!

Another great find was this wall decal from Hobby Lobby. I also used a 40% coupon on this! I think it looks great above the sink. If you would ask my husband, he doesn't care for it, but I like it - and I am the one who is always slaving away in the kitchen! :)

All in all, I had a great weekend seeing friends and family. We filled up my little Corolla on the way back - created many laughs for people driving next to us!! We also managed to fit a 42 inch plasma TV in my car (the trunk wouldn't shut all the way) for our Game Room. I will blog on that on a later date, once the room gets closer to completion!!

Memorial Day Weekend!

Well, hard to believe the weekend went by so fast! We were very lucky that our friends were able to make it down and the weather was very nice!! Here are some photos from this past weekend at Lake Kampeska (father-in-law's home). I am also looking forward to this weekend - heading to Sioux Falls to see family and friends!

Our newest addition!!

Well, we have now had our new puppy for almost three weeks! This is the reason I have no time to blog - she takes up a majority of my free time. I actually am finding it hard to get anything done around here!!

Bailey was actually brought into our local Vet. office - she was sick and the owners didn't want her anymore. After the vet. was able to work some magic and bring her back to health, she needed a home!! I immediately said we would take her - how could you pass up a face like that? Here are some pictures so far... I do have more, but will need to blog later!!

The clock has arrived!!

After waiting a long 2 1/2 weeks for my clock to arrive, it's finally here!!! If you know me at all, you know that I am an avid eBayer! I am usually on that website atleast once a day scoping out any new listings. Popular searches for me lately are: wrought iron wall, Pier 1, Crate and Barrel, and Target Home. I most recently found a clock that would look great above our stairs on eBay and had to order it (sorry Stuart).

So... as you can see from the pictures, I have been struggling trying to find the perfect decor for above our TV in the living room. I ended up taking back the clock we bought at Target, bought a mirror, and then ordered the clock of my dreams on eBay!! It was a long process, but I am very happy with the finished product. Here are the fun changes below! It feels more like home every day we are here!

More curtains...

I finally made the decision to order longer curtains for our bedroom... I ended up ordering the same color and kind, just longer. I have been addicted to target.com lately, there are so many good deals. Atleast 3 times a week, I am searching the clearance section to see what other items are out there!!

I then moved the shorter ones to our guest bedroom... Stuart helped put up the curtain rod of course!

Twin bed anyone?

So today, my Mom and Sister made the trip to Watertown to bring an extra bed they had in storage to us. We had two rooms with no furniture, so this is a good addition to the home. I then took a side table from Stuart's bachelor pad days that was this ugly wood and painted it white. I then added a new knob to freshen it up. I think the room turned out nice. Now I just need to go thrifting more to find more items for the room!

New Updates to the Home!

I had a great weekend out bargain shopping with my mother! We are having a housewarming party next weekend, so I wanted to do some more decorating! Here are some more recent pictures of our newest additions to our home! Not a bad weekend! I will definitely have to stay home this week and not spend anymore money!!

New wall clock in living room...

New table in foyer... I added the baskets last minute. Should I keep them there? Any other ideas what I am store below there?

New mirror by door to garage (just to make sure we look our best before leaving)... The perfect places to hang my purse and jacket!
